GSEO signed MoU with Tashkent City Government

On March 16, 2023, the Green & Smart Energy Organization (GSEO) and Tashkent City Government officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaboratively work to support the development of low-carbon and renewable energy sources, energy conservation and efficiency, and green development in Tashkent city and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Wu Jianbo, Secretary General of the GSEO, and Rakhmanov Sharof Diyorovich, Deputy Mayor of Tashkent and Head of the Investment and Foreign Trade Department of Tashkent City Government, signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides.

The purpose of the MoU includes facilitating the establishment of partnerships between Uzbekistan and international parties to collaborate in the fields of the energy transition, energy efficiency, and green development, and promote related projects, investments, and training and knowledge exchange activities. This agreement represents an important milestone for GSEO’s efforts to promote international collaboration and exchanges in Uzbekistan and the Central Asian clean energy sector as well as supporting the implementation of public policies to accelerate the green energy transition.
